FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

U.S. Comptroller General Warns of Looming Financial Disaster in THE FUTURIST Magazine.

Bethesda, MD:  "Federal deficits will grow to unsustainable levels in as little as two decades," warns the comptroller general of the United States, David M. Walker in the March-April issue of THE FUTURIST magazine.  "At that point, without significant policy changes, federal deficits could reach 10% or more of our economy."

According to Walker, the time has come for the federal government to make some tough choices about budget systems, legislative processes, entitlement programs, spending patterns, and tax policies. "The sooner we begin to act, the better, because we are the world’s largest debtor nation, and time is working against us," he warns.

In the March-April FUTURIST, Walker goes on to describe how public officials, concerned citizens, and government bodies can better secure their future by planning in the long term, today.  http://www.wfs.org/futcontma07.htm
