David Rosen is a Vice President in Makovsky + Company's Technology + Corporate Services practice overseeing clients such as Booz & Company, Johnson Controls and TransitCenter. With deep experience in the financial and technology sectors, David specializes in helping clients communicate complex ideas through the mainstream and social media to drive sales, set industry agendas and support full and fair stock valuations.

Previously, David served as Vice President at GCI Group, where clients included Citi Smith Barney, MetLife, Morgenthaler Partners (private equity), Capgemini and Dell.

Prior to GCI, David was a Principal at Walek & Associates, where he led the firm’s Technology practice serving clients such as Amber Alert, IntraLinks and the Rocket Racing League. During his tenure, he managed the Dow Jones Indexes, Dow Jones Newswires and Clarium Capital (hedge fund) accounts.

He began his career in PR at Mail.com, a company that pioneered web-based email.

David volunteers as a crisis communications spokesman for the Red Cross, conducting broadcast interviews during fires, floods and blackouts. He often lectures at New York University and the City College of New York, and has written about the impact of new technologies on PR for PRWeek andPRNews. He delivered an address on “Revolutionary PR Technologies” at the Bulldog Summit in 2006.

David received his BA from SUNY Buffalo with a double major in Communications and Political Science. He is a member of the National Association of Science Writers and the World Future Society. David’s blog, Sellingtomorrows.com, explores the use of “the future” as a marketing tool.
