Ray Kurzwell's article was interesting but I thought his dismissal of the religious impulse to be rather victorian. In addition to work in the fields of robotics, computers, and genetics I think a study of participatory spirituallity would be in order. Robert Moss's "Creative Dreaming", R.J. Stewart's "Living World of Faery", and Michael Harner's "Shamanism" are all worth examining to see what eruptions of religious and spiritual sentiment are in the offering.
