For 30 years, Future Survey editor Dr. Michael Marien prepared more than 21,000 abstracts of the most important futures-relevant books, reports, and articles published in English. The World Future Society and futurists around the world owe Mike a great debt of gratitude for his long service, and the Society presented him with its Distinguished Service Award at its 2008 annual conference. [Watch video] But Dr. Marien has not completely retired. He'll continue to prepare a limited number of Future Survey-like abstracts for World Future Review.
