As a person who experienced a brutal Nigeria-Biafra (1967 to 1970) civil
war starting from age 7, I can assure you the any war, especially, civil wars cannot be
won and should not be fought, paraphrasing Ronald Reagan. The human and environmental
degradations continue long after the shooting stops.
Scarce resources that should be invested in advancing humanity are
wasted killing one another and destroying the environment. Does any side actually win in
these senseless civil wars?
I am appreciative of those nameless people who contributed or helped
distribute the relief to starving Biafran children. I wish I can meet and personally thank
some of these kind souls.
The crimes, slums, famines, and terrible sanitary conditions wars
produce lead to increase in diseases such as malaria, cholera, and high blood pressure.
Thank you to the people of goodwill helping those affected by wars in
Liberia, Sierra Leone, Congos, Sudan, and many other places in Africa and elsewhere.
Thank you for the great article.

Dear author you have stated the case most eloquently. 98% of readers will agree with you.
But as a design /inventive engineer I see that the world is politically managed by
doctrine and not practical solutions. So while educated people are aware of the problems
as indeed we all are but they are not articulate in terms of solutions.
