RE: Trends
You've got a pretty extensive list of Trend Spotting sites at: http://www.wfs.org/futupapr06.htmYou might want to add TrendHunter.com - a compilation of the latest new trends compiled by a global network of more than a thousand trend spotters and cool hunters.
Cheers,
Jeremy GutscheRE: NO DOCTOR SHORTAGE?Having been in practice and watched the demographics change, I believe that the problem is with physician hours worked not numbers of M.D.s The med school composition is now 50% female in many places. This adds a significant and needed dimension to care but the majority of the women graduates will not work the 80-90 hours/week that I did. Most will work 20-30 hours. Many who are in Ob-Gyn will leave due to high liability.
Are you aware of any studies that look at the 30-year trend of physician-hours worked, not of the numbers of physicians or numbers of patients seen per M.D.?
