SCAN
I would like to applaud the SCAN system for recognizing a major
challenge facing our rapidly growing senior population. I currently take care of an aged
parent and have been amazed at the typical HMO / Medicare model for senior healthcare. Any
program that seeks to keep people healthy, engaged and in their homes should be supported
by everyone in the community. To date the only support I have received has been through
Family Caregiver Alliance / LACRG - I will be investigating SCAN for my mother's
healthcare.
