As most patients are not reliably taking meds, how far are we from an internal device similar to an insulin pump that manages the issue for them? The device would need a gps and monitoring software for the drug inventory, and likely a way to modify doses to deal with exigencies. There are obvious issues with the potential for organizational abuse/neglect - any takers on an article on the tech, ethical, and pragmatic issues?

My guess, is we are not far from having internal management devices. At some point, internal sensors could also regulate feelings by stimulating or de-stimulating aspects of the mapped out mind. So, all kinds of issues will come to the forefront as technological wonders explode.
