The Best of Houston Futures
This session highlights the best student products from the award-winning graduate program in futures studies at the University of Houston. The session will include the best essays, forecasts, scenarios, and plans from the next generation of professional futurists.
Who should attend: Anyone interested in the products that the next generation of futurists are producing as they prepare to begin their professional careers. This session has produced wide-ranging and engaging material at past conferences, and this year promises the same interesting, provocative, and rigorously documented futures presentations.
What they will learn: Participants will learn what good futures products look like. They will also be able to challenge young futurists and their ideas in order to promote a vigorous dialogue about diverse aspects of the future.
How this new knowledge can be applied: These presentations are the best, selected from dozens of products produced in 2010 at the University of Houston. Participants will be able to judge the quality of their own work against these outstanding examples.
