The world is going through a fundamental economic transformation, and the galloping speed of change is bringing on the new faster than we can get rid of the old. Instead of using our energy to fix outmoded systems and institutions, we need to imagine the new possibilities, grow those enterprises and processes, create those jobs, and build a completely different future. The concept of imagination has to emerge from the "fun to do," and become the "essential to do." Imagination is not a luxury—it is now an urgency that we cannot ignore. One of the prime examples of this is in the world of health care and well-being, one of the concepts this presentation will explore, to be followed by a panel on the subject.
