Introduction to Artificial Neural Networks. We will introduce just enough of the key principles of artificial neural networks (ANN) to make the Creativity Machine Paradigm understandable. It will begin with a review of the computational neuron, and perception-emulating neural networks called perceptrons, and end with a discussion of idea-generating neural structures called imagitrons.
The Creativity Machine Paradigm. We will introduce the concept of brainstorming perceptron-imagitron pairs, the core notion behind the Creativity Machine paradigm, and spell out their essential role in building synthetic minds. We then begin to describe some of the myriad applications and accomplishments of this revolutionary AI paradigm over the last decade.
Philosophical Repercussions. We will focus upon the more philosophical and spiritual issues addressed by the Creativity Machine Paradigm, in particular the role of the conscious machines in addressing some of mankind’s most persistent and profound questions.
Creativity Machine Demonstrations. This will consist of live demonstrations of Creativity Machines and derivative products of this conceptual horn of plenty, along with videos of some past, historic demonstrations involving complex, exotic, or expensive hardware.
Who should attend: A mixture of people should attend: (1) those seeking new entrepreneurial directions in which they integrate Creativity Machine technology into their own products or services, or (2) those desiring to witness the central artificial intelligence principle driving a technological and philosophical singularity.
